Coho (aka Silver) salmon are very similar to Chinook (King) salmon in flavor and texture, but they are smaller in size.
While salmon are endangered, primarily due to land management and dams, conservation groups recognize that sustainably managed fishing by local communities is an important part of pushing for the kind of changes we’ll need to make to truly improve wild salmon waterways and habitat throughout the NW.
